Exent Technologies Tapped To Power Turner Broadcasting Gaming Service

Exent’s EXEtender™ Platform Provides Security, Delivery and Usability Capabilities to New GameTap Service.

BETHESDA, Md. -- Oct. 18, 2005 – Exent Technologies, the global market leader in the secure digital delivery of games, revealed that core streaming and security technology from their EXEtender platform was used to develop an exclusive and proprietary solution for Turner Broadcasting’s new GameTap games-on-demand service. Exent’s core technology provides effective on-demand, streaming download technology and a multi-layered security framework.

Turner’s new GameTap service is a broadband entertainment network that combines games-on-demand with original programming into a subscription package. GameTap offers customers “all-you-can-play” access to a large vault of games, from the early arcades all the way through console games and PC titles, using a broadband-connected PC.

Exent’s EXEtender™ technology platform will offer GameTap customers an easy access game experience, putting game-play just a mouse-click away. Using the EXEtender™ platform allows users to begin playing new games in minutes rather than the hours needed by traditional downloading methods. GameTap customers will securely access games through Turner's GameTap client that is enabled with the EXEtender™ platform.

“With GameTap, Turner is set to move the gaming market into a new era and we are proud to be the engine driving new, complementary channels for the video game industry,” said Zvi Levgoren, Exent CEO.

“GameTap, brings to games what we brought to cable television: compelling, branded environments where beloved properties live on,” said Stuart Snyder, general manager of GameTap.

The official GameTap website may be found at http://www.gametap.com.

About GameTap
GameTap provides subscribers an "all-you-can-play" gaming service accessible from up to two household computers. To access GameTap, players securely download and install Turner-developed client software from www.gametap.com that acts as a gateway to the GameTap vault. Because games reside securely on the PC, not across a network, they act just as if they were still on the console or at the arcade. Fast response times, 3D effects, colors, and characters are all present and accounted for. GameTap supports navigation and game play using keyboard and mouse, as well as most USB peripherals.
