Exent Launches New Turnkey Service
New offering enables broadband service providers to differentiate themselves using online gaming and edutainment services while minimizing capital expenditure
Bethesda, Md., March 22, 2004 - Exent Technologies Inc., the global leader in secure digital software delivery technologies, announced today that it has launched a new turnkey solution for games and edutainment on-demand services. The new turnkey service, which uses Exent's EXEtender™ technology platform, offers an end-to-end, content delivery, management and acquisition solution. The new service is geared to help broadband service providers launch on-demand games and edutainment services, in an accelerated time frame and without major capital expenditures or resources requirements. On-demand games and edutainment services allow service providers to support the value proposition for high-speed access services; drive incremental revenues and reduce churn of their broadband subscribers.
The new turnkey service enables broadband service providers to offer tiered and genre-based packages of content through a choice of business models - including subscription, purchase and rental. Using these models, value-based packages are offered through a unified technology platform
The turnkey service is comprised of the following elements:
- Content - a large library of brand name PC software content is available to be offered to the end-users, including content from several major publishers
- Customer Service - customer service is provided by the service provider's customer service representatives and by Exent professionals
- Billing - billing and payment services are available, supporting multiple payment methods in various geographies
- Web destination - a robust branded web site leverages the service provider's brand, integrating into existing sites
- Technology infrastructure - authentication, authorization, content delivery, site management and hosting facilities are all available from Exent
The various components of the service can be delivered as an end-to-end solution or based on a best-of-breed methodology, enabling the service provider to pick-and-choose the right combination between in-house and out-sourced elements.
